Fish Out of Water is an innovative organization that seeks to meet the needs of individuals who are in transition.  We view transition as a necessary means to career success.  We have identified key target groups who need assistance with career development.  Those groups include but are not limited to high school graduates, college and university graduates, military veterans, ex-offenders, career changers and the unemployed.  The key to our success is intense and individualized career development services.
 
FO2W subscribes to the belief that if you give a man a fish he eats for a day but TEACH him to fish and he eats a life-time.  Organizational goals include:
 
Training individuals utilizing interactive and relevant instructional technologies.
Engage participants in structured wrap-around support services.  
Assessing each individual to determine social, academic, and personal needs.  
Coach individuals to build esteem and confidence in their ability to become self-sufficient. 
Hook individuals on the concept that self-sufficiency through education and training is a positive       alternative to poverty. 







Fish Out of Water is a 501c3 non-profit organization that seeks to advance education and training among interested individuals to incude those who are preparing for college, unemployed, underemployed and/or seeking career transitions.  FO2W subscribes to the belief that if you give a man a fish he eats for a day but TEACH him to fish and he eats a life-time.  Organizational goals include:

Fish Out of Water (FO2W) is an organization that seeks to prepare individuals for the world of work.  FO2W will assist individuals in assessing their strengths and weaknesses related to employability.  The organization will provide coaching, case management, and career development services to assist individuals in securing gainful employment.

Fish Out of Water will provide one high school senior a $500 scholarship in honor of the service provided by retired Science Teacher Mary Cogdell Corbett.
